Usually, Telmisartan is taken once or twice a day but taking the medicine as per the prescription of the doctor would be appropriate. Telmisartan tablets (Generic Micardis) are to be consumed orally with a full glass of water. It can be taken with or without food but it is recommended to take after meal in order to avoid stomach disorders. Telmisartan is supplied in form of tablets and in various strengths such as, 20 mg, 40 mg and 80 mg. A physician is solely responsible for allotting any particular strength after evaluating the condition of the patient. Store this medicine at 25°C (77°F); away from heat, light and moisture (room temperature).
